Carrie Warr, creator of the stunning, hand-dyed Peak District Yarns will be with us to demonstrate and guide you through the hand dyeing process. Dye your very own, unique hank of yarn for the ultimate small project!

Peak District Yarns is run by Carrie Warr from her studio in Tideswell, a village in the heart of the Peak District National Park in the north of England.  Dyed in small batches using only premium yarns, her delicious colourways are inspired by the colours and the landscapes of the local countryside. Initially we are stocking a selection of shades of 4ply sock yarn.

With special guests Jeni Hewlett and Andy Robinson from around 10.30

Jeni Hewlett is the mastermind behind Fyberspates, our newest brand instore. She not only showcased Fyberspates but also brought some of her own hand dyed yarns.

Andy Robinson is the Managing Director of Chester Wool Co, a major wholesaler of the best quality undyed (white) yarns to the UK and Europe. CWC's range includes BFL, Alpaca, Merino Wool, Silk and Cashmere blends.

Andy brought undyed yarn and patterns.

Slightly later than suggested - it took far longer than we had envisaged to clear Didsbury..

A number of thanks: to those of our friends and customers who have responded to this series of emails with Good Wishes and positive comments; to every member of staff in the business for the extra hours and sheer physical effort they have all put in not only to make this 'little venture' work but also keep the rest of the business running smoothly; to suppliers and friends within the industry for making the infrastructure work; and last, but certainly not least, to the customers who have already crossed the new threshold.

We hope you like the contemporary look of Manchester's latest independent wool shop. Please visit us soon and enjoy the new surroundings.
