Peak District Yarns is run by Carrie Warr from her studio in Tideswell, a village in the heart of the Peak District National Park in northern England. Carrie prides herself on producing small batches of delicious yarn, inspired by the colours and dramatic landscape of the countryside around her, each skein in her 'Peak District themed' range being named to reflect that inspiration.
Peak District Yarns are predominantly very high wool content, 4 ply yarn put up as 100 gram skeins, one skein being sufficient to knit a pair of socks or handwarmers. Peak District Yarns are occasionally available in both DK and Aran weights.
We are stockists of this fine yarn but, because Carrie dyes most of her colourways in batches of just one or two skeins, it is only available to buy in store. The examples below give a clear indication of the range and style of colourways Carrie dyes, the 'Peak District themed' being available in our Buxton shop, others in both Marple & Cheadle.
